Notes

UPDATED:: I changed the color of the little arrows next to the names of the sections. It was hard to see the white color. The three, large, non-essential sections (Tools, Resources and Groups, would be able to be minimized, and would be minimized by default. Users wishing to ignore these sections would be able to easily.

On top (Submission) window
- Ability to minimize some sections. (Tools, Resources, Groups)
- Addition : Once category is selected, the "Tools" section would become active under that category. (In this example, Digital)
-Tools Section-
-- There would be three columns. ( Frequently Used, All, and Custom)
-- Frequently used would show the selections YOU frequently use in THIS category. (Digital)
-- All would show a large list of selections popularly used under this category. (Digital)
-- Custom would be used if your desired selections are not available. Here you can construct a personal list of custom tools for all categories. ( This is not category specific because you may use some of these for more than one type)

Below the Tools Section would be Resources
-Here you can easily give credit to stock owners, textures, and models.
--The first part of this section would be "Resource Credit"
-- Here you could add a deviation by URL link, or thumbnail code, or you could click "Add from Collection".
--::Add from Collection would open a pop up window, much like when submitting directly to a group gallery, where you could browse your favorites and collections to select the resources if you had favorited them.

-The Custom section is for any source needing credit OUTSIDE deviantart (Such as google images, or another stock site) or deviants within the image. (Models or Collaborators)

In the second image
The deviation page. On the left hand side, with the other piece's information would list the tools used, and any resources or deviants that took part in the piece.

--Clicking a tool would open a search page of deviations made that also tagged that tool.

--Next to resources used, (this will be visible only to the artist, like the "edit" button) there will be check boxes, and above, a "Notify" button. When pressed, it would send a basic note to each of those deviants. It would say that you have used their stock, link to their stock, and then a thumbnail to your deviation. Once you have sent this notification to them, clicking that button again would prompt, "You have already notified these artists. Are you sure you wish to message them again?".

I know this is a lot, and would take a ton of time to actually make for the site, I just wanted to share my idea. It would be cool if even just one of these features were added.

Now for THIS deviation's actual credits. Lol...
Put together in Paint.net

Original deviation that was used to set this up.

THAT deviation's credits.

DeviantArt Submission Page Suggestions by =OneSockWolf is a suggestion with a great concept and would benefit users (especially the S&R community) if implemented.

What if you're a traditional artist? ;w;

I set up this preview idea geared towards digital art, but if you are a traditional artist, when you select the category being traditional, you'd have different options, e.g.

#2 Pencil
B4 Pencil
Ball Point Pen
Watercolors
Oil Pastel
----
Watercolor paper
Printer Paper
Canvas

And so on :D It would be amazing resource for all artists, if you do your drawings in a ball point pen, on a specific type of paper, then you could click that option, and also see other art that was done with such items, it would be a way to see what amazing htings could be done with even a simple printer paper sheet, and a mechanical pencil for example :D

You didn't miss anything! :D I just don't have it shown on the visual representation up there, see, it would be completely impossible for me to show all the options a feature could have, especially since this actually coming to dA is a slim chance :)

I'll check out both your galleries!

This is awesome! :)
Just wondering, how would the offsite URLs appear, just as regular text links?

:D Thanks!
Hmm, perhaps! You know when you save a bookmark, or website favorite? How it has those tiny icons? It maybe could have one of those as well. :D
